Theriault Construction has been busy preparing the site for the ashphalt pad and the new playgound!

TWO WEEKS TO BUILD DAY!

WOW In two short weeks we build our park!  Our committee is working hard at planning the day!  We have a lot of volunteers and we thank you!!  We could use a few more volunteers in the construction department.  Another 6 volunteers would be ideal.So please continue to spread the word, everyone is welcome.  We promise you, this will be a day you will never forget! Nothing like this has ever happened in Chelmsford.

From the  day the equipment arrives to our build day we have some prep work, such as inventory and unloading.  If you are available in the few days prior to build day please send us an email.  chelmsfordltbk@gmail.com  This prep work is to be done during the daytime.

Something else we need is about 6 wheelbarrows.  If you have one we can borrow for the day, please send us an email and be sure to bring it.

      We are getting T-Shirts for Build Day!

                                 

Something that always stands out watching other Let Them be Kids project or looking at their build day photos  how cool it looks when the volunteers have matching t-shirts.   Until this week, this was not an option for us as the budget didn't permit it. 

Until now that is!  The Belanger Ford Lincoln Centre will be sponsoring  souvenir t-shirts for our build day.  We will be able to color coordinate all our volunteers and have a special souvenir to remember this wonderful day.  We continue to be amazed at the support we are getting from this community, what a great community will live in!  Thank you so much Belanger Ford Lincoln Centre for making a difference in our project and in our community.

Thank you to the Caisse Populaire Vermillon Inc. for the generous donation.   We were close to our fundraising goal now we've reached it.  This generous donation will purchase $20,000 of playground equipment.  A project that was suppose to take years will be completed  May 26, 2012 and many children's wishes will come true.  On behalf of our neighborhood, our community, our committee and our children,   Thank you. 

We are close to reaching our fundraising goal!

We are now able to give official tax receipts for your donations of over $10.00.  With our award from Let Them be Kids your donations are matched!  If you give us $100, it will result in $200 of playground equipment.  If you have been considering a donation, please do not wait.  This award is a once in a lifetime opportunity, we must take advantage of it.

We've received more donations this week.  Cheques from Marcel Goulet $100,  Michel & Gisele Beaudry $100, Maurice Berthiaume $200 , Sudbury Brazilian Jiu-Jitsuand Muay Thai Academy   $200 , Azilda Lions $500,  Azilda CAN $200, Crazy Horse Tavern $350.    Since these are matched by Let Them be Kids this is $3100  in playground equipment this week, and it's only Thursday! 

 

What a Good Time!

A huge Thank You to the band After 6 for the Rockin' Fundraiser.  Not only was this the most fun we've had at an event it was also one of our most successful events.  Thank you for giving your time and talent to our project.  Because of you and people like you who give so freely, children will have a new park on
May 26, 2012.  Thanks to all who supported this sold out event.
